The Giraffe City Tour Hop On Hop Off gained a leading role of Budapest’s city sightseeing market and which combined all the improvements of its ancestors. Today it provides the service with an audio guide of 22 languages, with several sightseeing buses (closed top double-decker, double-decker cabrio, closed top single-decker, single-decker cabrio) and sightseeing boats as well.
The sightseeing lines:
1. Budapest Classic Historical Red Line
Classic, historical Red line, which allows You to discover the most important, world-heritage sights of Budapest. We show You the most famous viewpoint in Budapest too, where you can take photos of the panorama. From April until October our buses leave every 15-30 minutes between 8:30 and 17:30 from Városháza park.
The route is: Városháza park – Zsinagóga – Astoria – Anker köz – Andrássy út 3. – Opera – Liszt Ferenc tér – Hősök tere – Széchenyi fürdő – Keleti pályaudvar – New York Café – Astoria – Váci utca – Szarvas tér – Citadella – Március 15. tér – Fővám tér – Kálvin tér.
Main characteristics of the line: audio-guide system with 16-22 languages, 18 stops, 9 changing points, and the program itself takes 2 hours.
2. Budapest Panoramic Yellow Line
Panoramic Yellow line, which follows the line of the Danube bend, and shows the famous view of Buda and Pest! From April until October our buses leave every 30 minutes between 8:45 and 17:15 from Andrássy út 2 station.
The route is: Andrássy út 2. – Eötvös tér – Vigadó tér – Fővám tér – Bálna – Zwack Museum – Szent Gellért tér – Várkert bazár – Sikló – Batthyány tér – Margit híd – Nyugati pályaudvar – Jókai tér.
Main characteristics of the line: audio-guide system with 16-22 languages, 13 stops, 7 changing points, and the program itself takes 2 hours.
3. The Budapest Boat Line
The Boat line is a cruise on the Danube that operates in a hop on hop off system, with a possibility to take off at the Buda Castle Garden and Margaret-island. From April until October our boat tour leaves every 60 minutes between 10:30 and 16:30 from Dock 8A Blue River terminal. And there are no-stop evening cruises leaving every 60 minutes between 19:00 -22:00.
The route is: Vigadó tér, Dock 8A – Buda Castle Garden – Margit híd – Margitsziget – Széchenyi Lánchíd – Erzsébet híd – Szabadság híd – Erzsébet híd.
Main characteristics of the line: English and German audio guide, changing points to the Red and Yellow lines, and the program itself is 1 hour long.
4. The Budapest Night Tour
Night Tour, which focuses on a different side of the city, the city in lights. It combines the most beautiful parts of the Red and Yellow line. It leaves every day at 20:15 from Dock 8A, Vigadó tér. The highlight of the tour is the panorama of Pest from the Buda Castle, which can be admired from the Citadel through the 20 minutes photo-stop.
The route is: Vigadó tér, Dock 8A – Városháza tér – Vár – Citadella – Vigadó tér, Dock 8A. Main characteristic of the line: audio-guide system with 16-22 languages, 5 stops and the program itself takes 1,5 hours.
5. The Budapest Walking Tour
Walking Tour is an interactive live-guided tour in English, which takes 2,5 hours focusing on the Castle district.
The route is: Opera – Andrássy út – Bazilika – Széchenyi tér – Széchenyi Lánchíd – Vár – Széchenyi Lánchíd – Vigadó tér.
+1 Optional Extra - The Budapest Castle Shuttle
The Green, Castle Shuttle line gives you the opportunity to visit the Castle district with a 14-seater electric bus. The highlights of the tour are the Fisherman’s Bastion and the Matthias church. From April until October the tour starts every 15 minutes between 9:45 and 17:00 from Várkert bazár station. The length of the tour is 30 minutes.
The route is: Várkert bazár – Dísz tér – Szentháromság tér – Kapisztrán tér – Dísz tér.
